Staples Branch Manager Retires

Viretta Neidhardt, Branch Manager of the Staples Public Library, has retired from Great River Regional Library (GRRL) effective Tuesday, July 28.

The decision was not as surprising as it may appear as Neidhardt reduced her work schedule recently for personal reasons.

“I have SO loved working here, so this was a very difficult decision,” Neidhardt said. She began employment with the Staples Public Library in April, 1994, and was managing the library when it affiliated with the Great River Regional Library system in January, 1997.

Branch Assistant Tammi Walz has been appointed interim Branch Manager, and Cathy Parish, who is a Branch Assistant at the Eagle Bend Public Library, will provide additional staff support until a new Branch Manager is in place.
