The state’s library community rises to applaud its best books and authors at the annual Minnesota Book Awards Gala Celebration. Authors such as Louise Erdrich, William Kent Krueger and Will Weaver are among those who were nominated in 2009.

Minnesota Book Awards are given in the categories of Children’s Literature, General Nonfiction, Genre Fiction, Memoir & Creative Nonfiction, Minnesota, Novel & Short Story, Poetry, and Young Adult Literature.
