Waite Park Leaps Into Reading
Volunteer Elisha Willenbring presented a Leap Into Reading storytime at the Waite Park Public Library - Al Ringsmuth Public Library on Tuesday, June 12. Hopper, the library's giant frog Leap Into Reading mascot, was also on hand. Willenbring has been presenting storytimes at the library for two years. When she's not at the library she is a kindergarten teacher. About 18 children attended the storytime. They jumped into a (blanket) pond, danced, and sang songs. Willenbring made sure they all had an opportunity to take part in the activities.
"It gets a bit chaotic sometimes," she said, "but they all have fun."
Each location for Great River Regional Library presents a Summer Reading Program as well as storytimes for children and excellent early reading materials.
