Waite Park Children Learn About Nocturnal Animals
Volunteer storyteller Elisha Konz finished her summer storytime series with a Leap Into Reading event at the Waite Park Public Library - Al Ringsmuth Public Library on Tuesday, July 17. A group of eight preschoolers and a toddler enjoyed hearing Elisha read books about nocturnal animals. The selection included Skunk At Hemlock Circle by Victoria Sherrow, Raccoon Moon by Nancy Carol Willis, and Forest Bright, Forest Night by Jennifer Ward. The storytime ended with crafts, and the children made owl and wolf masks. Hopper, Great River Regional Library's Leap Into Reading mascot, thought the masks were scary.
