Local trio Knotted Clover entertained their audience in a recent concert at the Elk River Public Library.
The trio is composed of two teens and their father. They play traditional folk songs and music from Ireland on a variety of instruments including mandolin, guitar, fiddle and harp. Staff and patrons praised their performance. Read more »
The Becker Public Library is starting a Teen Book Club. The book club will meet Monday, Oct. 20 at 7:00 p.m. The selection for the first discussion is "Legend," a romantic thriller set in a post-apocalyptic world, written by Marie Lu. The Eagle Bend Public Library recently held its annual end of Summer Reading Program party.
Adults and children played "Book Bingo" for a chance to win a free book.
Following the bingo, prizes from the Summer Reading Program were handed out and everyone was served ice cream sundaes. This program was provided by the Eagle Bend Area Friends of the Library.
Z Juggling Rosenschnoz program was held at Lincoln Park in Staples as part of Railroad Days festivities. Children and their families enjoyed the juggling and magic tricks on a Sunday afternoon in the park. This program was sponsored through the Minnesota Arts & Cultural Heritage funds and the Staples Motley Area Arts Council.
