Cokato Picks a Pumpkin

During October the Cokato Public Library hosted a Take & Make - Pumpkins on Parade program. Patrons took home a pumpkin, decorated it and brought it back for display in the library. Patrons were then asked to vote for their favorite. Noah Morfitt’s spider pumpkin won branch favorite. The decorated pumpkins spiced up the Cokato branch giving the library a fun and festive fall feeling. Read more »

Fire Up your Kindle at the St. Cloud Library

   Come on down to the St. Cloud Public Library on Thursday, Oct. 9 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. to learn how to download library books to a Kindle Fire. Also learn what other applications are available for use with the device. Attendance is limited to 10, and preregistration is requested. This event will take place in Room 208 on the library's upper level.

Eagle Bend 1000 Books Before Kindergarten Celebration!

The Eagle Bend Public Library held its annual 1000 Books Before Kindergarten Celebration on
Sept. 25.
Robert the Magician entertained everyone with a performance of Bug, Bugs, Bugs. He did various magic tricks including making a dove appear from a scarf. We had eight participants reach the 1000 books mark and six of them are now in kindergarten. Read more »

Family Trio Entertains at Elk River

Local trio Knotted Clover entertained their audience in a recent concert at the Elk River Public Library.
The trio is composed of two teens and their father. They play traditional folk songs and music from Ireland on a variety of instruments including mandolin, guitar, fiddle and harp. Staff and patrons praised their performance. Read more »

Book Bingo at the Eagle Bend Library.

The Eagle Bend Public Library recently held its annual end of Summer Reading Program party.
Adults and children played "Book Bingo" for a chance to win a free book.
Following the bingo, prizes from the Summer Reading Program were handed out and everyone was served ice cream sundaes. This program was provided by the Eagle Bend Area Friends of the Library.

Staples Hosts Z Juggling in Lincoln Park!

Z Juggling Rosenschnoz program was held at Lincoln Park in Staples as part of Railroad Days festivities. Children and their families enjoyed the juggling and magic tricks on a Sunday afternoon in the park. This program was sponsored through the Minnesota Arts & Cultural Heritage funds and the Staples Motley Area Arts Council.
