Governor Dayton Launches Leap Into Reading
Minnesota Governor Mark Dayton proclaimed Feb. 29, 2012 to be Leap Into Reading Day. This signals an increased emphasis to improve literacy statewide on the part of the Minnesota Department of Education. OverDrive, the vendor of digital library services to Great River Regional Library has improved OverDrive Help to make your digital library experience better. OverDrive Help includes newly-written help articles and tutorials covering everything you need to know to enjoy eBooks and eAudiobooks from our digital collection. Read more »
Penguin Walks Away From eBook Library Loans
As of today, Feb. 10, 2012, Penguin no longer offers additional copies of eBooks and eAudiobooks for library purchase. Penguin is terminating its contract with Overdrive, the company that provides materials for our Digital Library. This situation is beyond our control. Read more »
Free Legal Advice Clinic
Central Minnesota Legal Services is now offering a free legal advice clinic at the St. Cloud Public Library to assist persons with matters of family and/or estate and probate law.
Advice clinics will be held on the fourth Tuesday of every month. All clinic sessions will be held from 12 noon to 1:00 p.m. Read more »

Kimball Library Sparkles
Kimball’s National Honor Society adopted the library as one of their service projects this school year. On December 29, ten students arrived at the library ready to work. They removed books from the library shelves and dusted before returning the materials to their clean home. Read more »
