Muslims in Young Adult Literature

St. Cloud resident, Amanda MacGregor, created this list for December's VOYA magazine.  In the article she writes:

The following novels, all published after 2001, go beyond the themes of some of the more well-known titles that often reinforce stereotypes or offer a very limited view of what it means to be a Muslim teenager.  They show diversity within the Muslim cultures, challenge stereotypes, and offer Muslim teenagers the chance to see themselves represented in the field of young adult literature.
