A diapered baby "conductor" leads an all-animal orchestra though imaginative renderings of short (2-3 minute) musical pieces, all played in front of a rapt animal audience. The animal orchestra is warming up and the animals in the audience are buzzing with anticipation about the musical program featuring Tchaikovsky, Bach, Mozart, Copland, and many other great classical composers.
Leonard Bernstein earned glory as a composer, conductor, and pianist (classical and jazz), but nothing gave him more pleasure than the joy of teaching. He can take the most difficult musical subject and present it to a young audience with clarity.
