Assistive Technology

At its headquarters location in St. Cloud, GRRL provides computer stations specially adapted for use by people with impaired vision and for those with mobility difficulties. The library also offers video relay service (VRS) for users of American Sign Language.

Several other locations also provide screen magnifiers to make use of their computers more accessible for people with impaired vision.

Great River libraries may borrow assistive technology devices from the Minnesota STAR Program for up to 30 days to assess the usefulness of the device in helping the individual patron.
