How do I request materials that Great River Regional Library does not own?

If you have looked through the GRRL catalog and we either don't have the item you want or don't have it in the format you need, we have options to help you.

Title Request

Here at GRRL we pride ourselves on building our collection based on patron requests! Complete the Suggest a Title online form and staff will review it to purchase or borrow from another library. Once we know best how to get the item for you, it will automatically be requested on your account and sent to your local library. If for some reason twe cannot purchase the item or find it for you through Interlibrary Loan, we will let you know.

For best results, use the Suggest a Title form for new materials within six months of publication, as other Minnesota libraries may not be willing to lend popular new items.

Interlibrary Loan Request

Our library staff would be happy to help you with interlibrary loans. Additionally, you can place an Interlibrary Loan request for an item from another Minnesota library using the MNLINK Gateway. This statewide service allows you to request material that is not in our catalog and have it delivered to your local library. You will need your entire Great River Regional Library card's barcode number (entered without spaces) when you request an item using MnLink.

Please note: the loaning library may set the due dates for these items, and ILL items cannot be renewed by GRRL.
