Sherburne Summer Poetry

Poetry Story Stroll

Sherburne County Parks & Recreation partnered with Great River Regional Library and the City of Elk River Parks & Recreation to combine literacy with some favorite outdoor spaces. Kids ages 0 to 18 were invited to submit their original poetry during Library Lovers Month (February) through Poetry Month (April). Now it is time to see the poetry published!

This project features the work of young poets from Sherburne County along trails in local parks!  Authors submitted poems to their local library in Sherburne County (Becker, Big Lake, and Elk River).  The inspiration for the writers came from the Summer Reading Program’s theme, “Find Your Voice!”

Dates: June 5 - August 5

Check out the poetry along paths at the locations below!
