Volunteer with GRRL
We invite residents of our Central Minnesota community to be part of Great River Regional Library by becoming a library volunteer. Volunteer positions are ideal for anyone interested in people, books, libraries and the community.
Volunteers play a vital role by donating their time, talent, and skills to support and enhance library programs, services and outreach efforts at GRRL branch libraries and administrative headquarters at the St. Cloud Public Library.
There are a variety of volunteer positions with different responsibilities, qualifications, and time commitments. Please consider volunteering with GRRL to work with library staff, share your skills, and learn new ones.
Your help is needed for:
- Sorting and re-shelving materials
- Calling patrons when reserved materials arrive
- Delivering materials to the homebound
- Maintaining press files
- Reading aloud to children
- Translating materials
Volunteers of all ages and backgrounds are needed: youth (ages 12+), students, business people, community groups, people with special needs, and retired people.
To volunteer at a branch near you, complete the volunteer application form, print it, and turn it in at the branch where you wish to volunteer. The library branch manager will visit with you about volunteer needs and opportunities.
