Support the Library
Welcome
Great River Regional Library depends on a funding partnership between government agencies and private donors to remain a recognized source of knowledge and information to serve 450,000 Central Minnesotans.
Each year, GRRL receives essential financial support from individuals, businesses, organizations, and foundations to provide necessary resources for both on-going and special projects.
Thanks to the generous commitment of library supporters, GRRL meets Central Minnesota’s learning needs by lending nearly 3.5 million items annually. Another 62,000 people attend library programs such as Resume Writing, Baby Bounce, and Teen Mystery Night. And thousands more engage in meaningful community conversations by using public meeting and conference rooms.
In recent years, private donor support to GRRL has made possible:
- the purchase of thousands of new books and other materials
- the “ZooMan” program to launch the Summer Reading Program
- computers for individuals with visual and hearing impairments
- many new Internet computers
- children’s and adult programming
- meeting room reservation software
- prize incentives for the Summer Reading Program serving nearly 10,000 children and teens
- outreach efforts in various communities
- staff professional development and enrichment
- volunteer recognition
Just as our advocacy program works to ensure sufficient public funding of libraries, private support is increasingly important in improving the services and resources of GRRL. Please give now. There are many ways you can help.
