The Melrose Public Library's Kickoff to Summer party took place on Monday, June 9. The Stearns County Dairy Princesses served root beer floats, a balloon artist made very creative balloons for the children, and magician/comedy performer Brodini entertained the crowd. There was a great turnout and many children signed up for the Summer Reading Program.
Author and illustrator Rick Chrustowski drew a crowd of kids and their parents to a program at the St. Michael Public Library on Monday, June 23. The author of "Blue Sky Bluebird," and "Bright Beetle" described the process of writing and illustrating a book, answered questions, and got the kids involved by having them learn about collage art illustrating.
